New site an exciting step for Simcro

It’s all go for home-grown innovators Simcro as the company moves to build on its acquisition of ISL and NJ Philips last September.

A major step was last month’s official opening of a big new warehouse and consolidate facilities at the former ISL site at Pukete Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Hamilton.

Covering 900 square metres, the new warehouse supports a production floor area of 1300 square metres and 120 staff, including 12 R&D engineers.

Simcro head of sales and marketing Gary Sissons says having the new facilities blessed and opened marks the start of an exciting stage in the company’s on-going progress, with increased R&D focus and capability a key attribute going forward.

As well as the New Zealand staff, Simcro now fields an expanded team overseas. Three staff are based at Simcro USA in Kansas City; one is based in the United Kingdom; two are based in Brazil for the Latin American market, and two are based in Hong Kong and Shanghai covering Asia.

In Australia, a further 50 staff work at NJ Philips in New South Wales.
